  • Communications — information you provide when you contact our support team, including the content of your messages.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and actions taken.
  • Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, and crash reports.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — session tokens, preference cookies, and analytics identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • OAuth providers — if you sign in using Google or another third-party service, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) as permitted by your settings with that provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the platform — create and manage your account, display your content, and enable core features.
  • Personalize your experience — show relevant content, suggested connections, and tailored notifications.
  • Send transactional emails — account verification, password resets, two-factor authentication codes, and support ticket confirmations.

Public profile information (username, display name, profile picture, bio) is visible to all users of the platform by design.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Upon deletion:

  • Your posts and profile content are permanently removed.
  • Certain data may be retained for up to 90 days in backup systems before being fully purged.
  • Data required for legal compliance may be retained longer as required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information via your account settings.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal obligations).
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Objection — object to certain processing activities, such as analytics.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Weavy is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
